Art Shows and Base Jumping

It has been a progressive few months for Devout moving towards the end of 2013. The amazing opportunity for us to make coffee at an art show being hosted by The Collective has been presented. The event will take place on Saturday, November 9th from 5pm to 9pm and will cost $5 dollars at the door which includes food and water. It will be held at 75 S 11th Street, San Jose and will help raise awareness for the seriousness of suicide. It's an honor to be a part of this important cause and also getting a chance to bring a bit of Devout Coffee to the south bay. We've been wrapped up in the lab for the passed few weeks trying to nail down the basis for the newest member of our coffee family, Base Jump Espresso. Our passed espresso blends have taken heavy influence from the seasons during which they were created and Base Jump follows that tradition. With Autumn upon us, we were looking for something that was smooth, heavy bodied, with rich flavors, and spicy undertones. Using components from El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Guatemala multiple blends were tested to create a complimentary combination that still showcases the individual qualities of each coffee.
